TYPO3 MONITORING & UPDATE-SERVICE
Our TYPO3 monitoring and update service is a maintenance contract (Service Level Agreement, SLA) where we monitor your TYPO3 website and ensure maximum availability for your customers. We monitor a variety of parameters that can be a sign of potential problems, apply TYPO3 updates for you, and ensure that your TYPO3 core is always up-to-date and secure.
What should you do if your website has been hacked?
If your website has been hacked, you should remove it from the network as soon as possible and change all access codes. Next, you should do some research to find out the reasons why your system was hacked. If you have resolved the security vulnerability, you still need to carry out further steps. For example, you should check which data may have been stolen. If you have a user login, you should write to all users and inform them of the incident so that they can change their passwords. You should also check whether the attackers have placed malicious code on your website - this must be completely removed in order to prevent further breaches.
Also note that stolen user data can be resold and used for spam and phishing. As the owner of the website, you are responsible for its security and may be liable for it. A data breach must also be reported to the supervisory authority, as defined in Art. 33 GDPR (more info here).
As you can see, a "hack" can be a time-consuming and expensive undertaking - not to mention potentially damaging to your company's image! Our TYPO3 Monitoring and Update service can help you to make it as difficult as possible for hackers to hack your TYPO3 website.
